This Privacy Policy describes how Noma (“the Application”) collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use the mobile application.
Noma is a personal journaling and note-taking application. It is not a medical or health application and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Noma can be used without creating a traditional account. When you first use the Application, an anonymous account is created so that your data can be securely associated with your use of the Application and synchronized with our backend.
You may later choose to link this anonymous account to Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In.
If you choose to link your account using Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In, we may receive certain information from the authentication provider, depending on the provider and your settings.

Noma does not require you to provide medical, health, or other sensitive information. However, because journal entries are free-form, you may choose to include sensitive or personal information in the content you write. Such content is treated as private journal data and is not intentionally analyzed for advertising, profiling, or artificial intelligence purposes.
Some data may temporarily be stored locally on your device, for example drafts or information created while your device is offline.
When connectivity is available, relevant data may be synchronized with our backend infrastructure.
We use Sentry to help detect application errors, crashes, and technical issues.

Noma may send local notifications on your device to remind you to write in your journal.
These reminders are scheduled locally on your device. Noma does not currently use remote push notifications for daily journaling reminders.

Noma uses Supabase infrastructure located in Europe for authentication and database storage.
Some third-party service providers, such as Sentry, RevenueCat, Apple, or Google, may process certain technical, authentication, subscription, or diagnostic data outside your country or outside the European Union.
Where required by applicable law, appropriate safeguards are used for international transfers of Personal Data.
We retain your Personal Data only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Application, maintain your account and journal data, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce applicable agreements.
Data associated with your account is generally retained until you delete your account or request deletion, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
You can delete your account directly from within the Application.
When you delete your account, the Personal Data associated with your Noma account is scheduled for permanent deletion. In normal circumstances, this process is immediate or completed shortly thereafter.
If any residual data cannot be deleted immediately for technical or backup-related reasons, we aim to permanently remove it within a maximum of 7 days, unless applicable law requires us to retain certain information for a longer period.

Noma is a general-purpose journaling and note-taking application and does not impose a specific age restriction beyond any minimum age requirements that may apply under the relevant app store, platform, or applicable law.
We do not knowingly use the Application to target children or collect Personal Data from children for advertising or profiling purposes.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your Personal Data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
However, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Noma does not display advertising, sell your Personal Data, or use your Personal Data for targeted advertising.
Noma does not currently send your journal entries or other personal content to artificial intelligence services, and your content is not used to train artificial intelligence models.
If this changes in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated before such processing is introduced.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the Application, our service providers, legal requirements, or our privacy practices.
